Sprocket Adaptors or BEC (Bike Engined Cars) Adapters are fully CNC
machined from heat-treated chromoly steel. These are quality items and
drilled to fit the commonly used flanges for the propshafts used on these
vehicles. The flanges used are normally Ford or British Leyland standard
bolt pattern, propshaft manufacturers use the SAE1140 spec. If you have not
got a propshaft yet, your supplier will easily match it. They use your existing
sprocket retaining device. Bolt, Circlip or Nut. They can be mounted to float
if needed. Bolt holes in adaptors are threaded M8 x 1.25mm so eliminating
any clearance problems with the need to use locknuts. These items are not
to be confused with some of the inferior quality, home made items available
which are not heat treated, bodge welded together, or just poorly
machined.
The adaptors are made by an ISO9002 accredited manufacturer to exact dimensional and
material strength tolerances. They are heat treated to maintain the same durability as
the original sprocket thus eliminating any wear to the adaptor and more importantly,
your output shaft.
